Porn Star Heather Hunter Writes a Book
When I first heard former porn star Heather Hunter was writing a book about, wellÉ a porn star, I naturally assumed it was non-fiction. Auto-biographical.
ThatÕs what I get for assuming.
Alas, Insatiable: The Rise of a Porn Star is in fact fiction. Fiction, no doubt, based on at least a little fact. St. MartinÕs Press is set to release the book July 24th.
Hunter is penning the novel with author Michelle Valentine, a trend that seems to be growing in the publishing industry.

Coroner: Comic Jeni Was Mentally Ill
Comedian Richard Jeni, who shot himself to death in March, had a history of mental illness and was hospitalized late last year for suicidal depression, according to a coroner's report obtained Thursday.
Jeni, 49, died at a hospital after shooting himself in the head at his Hollywood home on March 10, authorities have said.
His girlfriend heard him talking to himself about a week earlier, saying "'just squeeze the trigger,'" according to a police report cited by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
She was making breakfast downstairs when Jeni shot himself in the mouth with a .38-caliber Colt Detective Special handgun, according to the report.
Jeni, whose birth name was Richard John Colangelo, had not made any previous suicide attempts and left no note, the report said.

The iPhone is almost here
- but can you get one?
While people are already lining up at stores, neither Apple nor AT&T has said how many will be available when it goes on sale at 6 p.m. Friday. That means there's a chance some of those clamoring masses may go home empty-handed.
That hasn't dampened the spirit of the true believers.
"I'm psyched about it," said San Jose resident John Gonzales, 26, who plans to begin camping out tonight for the phone. "I've been a phone-head for quite some time now. This one just takes the cake; it does almost everything."
Apple has masterfully marketed the iPhone since unveiling it six months ago, analysts agree. Aside from national advertising and the already powerful Apple fan base, the company has skillfully - or perhaps by chance - fueled extraordinary speculation about the gadget. Inter est is so high that Web sites breathlessly report every detail of device sightings in Silicon Valley, as well as every detail about the gadget and how it works.
Already, rabid Apple fans and thrifty entrepreneurs are camping out at stores from New York to Walnut Creek. A group in the East Bay posted a message on craigslist early Wednesday showing a picture of three guys donning "iWAIT" T-shirts.

On the eve of the day of reckoning for the most-hyped gadget in recent memory, eager customers lined up Thursday, a few even braving torrential rain, to be among the first to get their hands on the coveted new cell phone from Apple Inc.
The gadget, which combines the functions of a cell phone, iPod and wireless Web browser, will go on sale in the United States at Apple and AT&T stores at 6 p.m. Friday in each time zone.
It's been the focus of endless anticipatory chatter and even parodied on late-night TV. It's hogged so much of the media spotlight, a St. Paul, Minn., minor league baseball team planned to spoof its porcine mascot by selling a real 'iPig.'

Paris Hilton Interview Boosts CNN Ratings
Paris Hilton's post-jail appearance on CNN's "Larry King Live" drew about 3.2 million viewers, nearly triple the show's average audience.
Hilton's first TV chat since her release from jail aired Wednesday and gave King's show its best ratings of the year to date for a regularly scheduled telecast, CNN said Thursday. The program has been drawing about 1.1 million daily viewers.
Hilton, who spent about 23 days in custody before she was released Tuesday, told King that the jail experience prompted her to re-evaluate the role of partying in her life and that she intended to continue her "journey" of self-discovery.
