50 Greatest Comedy Films was a three-hour programme broadcast on UK's
Channel 4 in early 2006. The show listed the top fifty English
language comedy films of all time, as voted for by the public.
Part of the long running Channel 4 100 Greatest / 100 Worst listings
programmes, it featured commentary from members of Monty Python,
Richard Curtis, Jeff Daniels and other comedy personalities. It was
narrated by Stephen Fry
Out of the films, 38 were American and the other 12 were British.
